We often ignore the built environment when addressing issues of social justice and inequality. However, a sense of place and community shapes our lives in many ways. Historically, the built environment has been used to both intentionally and unintentionally perpetuate inequality. This presentation addresses how design and architecture have the potential to create more equitable and sustainable communities.
