Inclusion in the Outdoor Program Started
Easing student immersion in the backcountry program with pre-departure work, an outdoor equity film screening and panel discussion, camping 101 workshops, Indigenous history trainings, social-emotional check-ins and more. All camping leaders are given resources and training to enhance student belonging in the outdoor program and to facilitate conversations on the natural and living history of the wilderness we enter.
Belonging in the Horse Program Started
Annual trainings on multicultural horsemanship and inviting guest speakers to broaden student understanding of riding culture

Affinity groups are provided with a resource and policy guide, comprehensive training and retreat, holistic leadership selection process, ample opportunities to organize with other campus organizations, representation on Student Diversity Leadership Council, and opportunities to attend student diversity and leadership conferences outside of Thacher.
